Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi Updated to Android 3.1

Contrary to Motorola’s announcement that the Android 3.1 update will roll out to Motorola Xoom 3G users on Verizon first, followed by Wi-Fi Xoom users after “several weeks”, users from all over are reporting that their Wi-Fi tabs are getting prompted for the update. Well, if it ends well for the customer, why should we complain?

Imagine their elation when the update jumped out on their device today morning. Maybe Motorola just wanted to make the event more joyful by giving users a surprise.

The update is the same for both 3G and Wi-Fi only Motorola Xoom tabs. It brings the movie rental service that’s new on Android Market,For the moment only the email and Gmail inbox, calendar and bookmarks widgets can be stretched or shrunk, but we're sure others will follow.
We're particularly appreciative of the expandable calendar widget, which always felt a tad cramped. , full Adobe Flash 10.2 support, support for Bluetooth accessories (keyboard, mouse, headsets), direct transfer of photos and lots more. Some users  reported improved speed too. Read the changelog for more details on Android.com.

Motorola has woken up to the fact that the Android 3.1 update is getting rolled out indiscriminately.
